Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Singh has been a member of the Division of Nephrology since 1998. She is currently a Clinical Associate Professor and Head of the Peritoneal Dialysis program at Vancouver General Hospital.
She completed medical school at McGill University and then Internal Medicine at the University of Calgary. After finishing two years of Nephrology subspecialty training at the University of British Columbia, she undertook a clinical scholar year with a focus on medical education. Apart from clinical work, she is heavily involved in the curriculum design and delivery of undergranduate medical education at UBC. She has been on numerous Royal College committees and has been an examiner for the College since 2001. She is currently the exam board chair for Nephrology.
Her clinical expertise is in Home Dialysis—both Peritoneal and Hemodialysis. She is involved locally and internationally in the promotion of Peritoneal Dialysis and in education around PD to patients and health care workers. She has recently been involved in teaching bedside PD catheter insertion to other Nephrologists around the country.
