Dr. Wayne Hung is a nephrologist based at Royal Columbian Hospital. He holds dual fellowship training in Geriatric Medicine and has pioneered a specialized Geriatric Nephrology clinic at both St. Paul’s Hospital and Royal Columbian Hospital dedicating geriatric care to renal patients. Dr. Hung studied medicine at the University of British Columbia where he also completed his Internal Medicine residency and Nephrology fellowship, having served as Chief Medical Resident and Chief Nephrology Fellow respectively in each program. He is interested in the many intersections of geriatric issues across the spectrum of chronic kidney disease including dementia, frailty, palliative care, and peri-transplant considerations. He has completed additional certification in quality improvement and is actively involved in medical education.
