Dr. Amin grew up in Toronto and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Yale University School of Medicine. He then went on to do Adult Nephrology residency and subsequent fellowships in Home Dialysis and Hypertension at the University of Ottawa. Following which, he was a Staff Nephrologist at the Saskatchewan Health Authority and was the Division Lead of Nephrology in Regina before joining the UBC Division in August of 2023. He has a passion for home dialysis, hypertension, medical education and leadership. He enjoys the great outdoors and spending time with his young family
