Tobias is originally from Curitiba, Brazil, where he got his MD from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) and his Internal Medicine and Nephrology residency at the Evangelical Hospital Mackenzie (HUEM). He completed his studies with an Ph.D in Health Sciences at the Catholic University of Paraná (PUCPR) and worked as a nephrologist at the Clinic Hospital in Curitiba (HC) and as an intensive care doctor at the Elderly Hospital (HIZA). He moved with his family in 2023 to Canada for the Master in Healthcare Leadership and Policy (MHLP) at UBC and will start his fellowship in the Advanced Nephrology Training next year. Tobias has a wife and 3 daughters and loves exploring news hikes and watching movies with his family.
