Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Wong’s research focuses on complications of chronic kidney disease, including protein-energy wasting, anemia, volume overload, and hypertension. At BC Renal, she is currently co-leading an interprofessional research program in renal nutrition. She is a recipient of the Marcia Bell Distinguished Scholar Award, and has received research funding from Michael Smith Health Research BC and Kidney Foundation of Canada. She is actively engaged with the International Society of Nephrology (ISN), as a member of the North America and Caribbean Regional Board, the Emerging Leaders Program 2021 cohort, and the Kidney Health Professionals Working Group. She is a member of the Canadian Society of Nephrology Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee and the Canadian Nephrology Trials Network Communications and Engagement Committee.
