Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Jamal is trained in Clinical Nephrology and Dialysis, has a special interest in Peritoneal Dialysis and CKD, and is actively involved in consultative nephrology services. He currently serves as the Medical Director of the Peritoneal Dialysis program at St.Paul’s Hospital and as the Program Director, Adult Nephrology Training Program at UBC.
Dr Jamal obtained his undergraduate degree from McGill University (1996), Internal Medicine training at UBC and Nephrology training at the University of Manitoba. He has been on staff at UBC since 2001.
In addition to his nephrology passion, Dr Jamal is an avid cyclist and runner.
