Ross, who is originally from a beautiful area in the rural west Ireland, received his medical education from University College Cork, graduating first in class, in 2011.  He completed post-graduate training in general medicine and nephrology with the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.  He was awarded a PhD from University College Dublin, following research work examining biomarkers and models of disease progression in Chronic Kidney Disease, a thesis which brought together bioinformatics, clinical epidemiology and basic laboratory sciences.  He has held the role of Special Lecturer in Medicine at University College Dublin, an opportunity that allowed him develop his passion for medical education.  Ross is leaving wonderful Dublin behind to join the team in Vancouver where his time will focus on transplant nephrology, and embracing the outdoors and cultural delights that BC has to offer.
