Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Michaud attended medical school and completed her Internal Medicine and Nephrology fellowship in Calgary. She joined the division of nephrology in Kamloops in 2007 and then moved to Kelowna in 2013 to join the Kelowna division of nephrology and to serve as the Medical Director of Renal for Interior Health.
Dr. Michaud’s love is clinical nephrology with an emphasis on the longitudinal care of a complex and often unwell patient population. Her focus is on working closely with her patients to develop goals of care that reflect their own values and wishes in the context of their health challenges.
She is very involved in administration both within the broader Interior Health renal program as well as with the Provincial Renal Association in order to continue to improve and standardize the care of renal patients across BC. Finally she enjoys working with learners and is involved in teaching medical students and residents.
