Monica Beaulieu

Dr. Monica Beaulieu

Dr. Beaulieu is trained in Clinical Nephrology, and has a Masters in Health Administration from UBC. In addition to general nephrology, she has a special interest in chronic disease management, implementation of systematic care systems, and system redesign, as well as pharmacological optimization in CKD patients. She is Director of the Integrated Care Clinics, co-director of the KFC, and Medical Lead for PHC Nephrology re: Quality and Safety. She has recently started an innovative Obstetrics and Gynecology Nephrology clinic, as part of her integrated care focus. Her research focus is in CKD, and continuous quality improvement. She has a provincial role at the BC Renal Agency and has been on staff at UBC since 2008.

Dr. Beaulieu obtained her Pharmacy degree, undergraduate medicine, internal medicine and Nephrology training at UBC.

Mike Bevilaqua

Dr. Mike Bevilaqua

Dr. Micheli (Mike) Bevilacqua is a nephrologist with additional training in health administration including an Administrative Fellowship with BC Renal and a Master of Health Administration at UBC.  He divides his time between clinical medicine and nephrology administration with his clinical practice being based in Surrey, British Columbia.

He is also involved in several administrative roles with BC Renal; he is the Chair of the BC Renal Provincial Kidney Care Committee which oversees the care of British Columbians living with chronic kidney disease and he is the Medical Lead for the BC Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Network which aims to optimize management of PKD in BC. Dr. Bevilacqua is also involved in research with specific interests in PKD as well as knowledge translation, systems improvement and evaluating care delivery.
