Kidney disease is an important driver of healthcare costs worldwide and kidney care depends on variable resources across the globe. In this article, Dr. Adeera Levin discusses the collaborative efforts of the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) in addressing education, advocacy and research to tackle the challenges of managing kidney disease worldwide. These endeavours include the Global Kidney Health Atlas, the Global Kidney Health Summit, the Global Kidney Health Policy Forum and other educational activities.
