Janice Borg is a 32-year-old from Malta, Europe, and is excited to join the team in Vancouver. She graduated from the University of Malta, Faculty of Medicine & Surgery in 2016 and then completed two years of foundation training at Mater Dei Hospital in Malta. In 2018, she began her basic specialist training in Medicine, completing her MRCP (UK) in 2019. In 2021, she started her higher specialist training in Nephrology and Transplantation, and General/Internal Medicine at Mater Dei Hospital. In 2023, she spent a year working as a senior clinical fellow in Nephrology and Transplantation at the Royal Free Hospital in London, United Kingdom. She holds a dual speciality in General/Internal Medicine, for which she completed her certificate of completion of speciality training in July 2023, and in Nephrology, which she is due to complete in January 2025. Janice is very passionate about nephrology, with a special interest in acute transplantation.
This will be Janice’s first time visiting and working in Canada. While she is a little anxious about moving to Vancouver alone, she is incredibly excited about the opportunity to learn, involve herself in research studies, and contribute to the team. Janice is a cheerful and enthusiastic person, always eager to help others and learn from her colleagues. She loves to travel and is excited to explore Canada! She looks forward to working with the team and embracing this new chapter in her career.
